“CHILDREN ASSISTANCE AND SOLUTIONS ASOCIATION” is a nongovernmental, nonprofit, carrying out humanitarian activities, and children’s anonymity disclosure organization, acting for poverty reduction impact on children’s misfortunate families, and children with social and special needs.

The activity of the association is based on improving life quality of children’s included in social categories listed above, maintenance and modernization patrimony of educational establishments, of didactic and sports furniture’s for schools, support for educational establishments; Running programs to prevent and combat early school leaving.

CHILDREN OF TOMORROW PROJECT :


1 OVERVIEW:"Half of the educational establishments are outbreaks of microbes”, supports the Public HealthMinister, Eugen Nicolaescu:"Between August 24 and 1 September 2008, health authorities have verified 12.959 educational units from the total of 6.037. Kindergartens, schools and high schools controlled in 2005 haven’t sanitary authorization or had temporarily permits. Most of them will not get this year any operating permit," said Minister Eugen Nicolaescu. According to Minister of Public Health, ''more than 40% of the units in rural areas have their ownsources of drinking water. In most rural areas the units have delays in completion of works or themaking of improving, and the sewerage systems are inadequate. Among the problems foundinclude: the operation units in unsuitable buildings that were constructed for other purposes, but later were converted into kindergartens, schools and high schools, overcrowding in urban units, buildings damaged, lack their own water source or water with improper parameters and damaged toilets. Over 50% of school furniture is damaged or unsuitability as dimensions with age group .Most units of educational system having issues with sanitary permits are located in the counties:Arad, Bacau, Bihor, Bistrita Nasaud, Buzau, Calarasi, Caras Severin, Cluj, Constanta, Covasna, Dambovita, Dolj, Galati, Giurgiu, Gorj, Iasi Mehedinti, Mures, Olt, Prahova, Salaj, Tulcea and Valcea. "
This school year begins also with 40% of the total number of schools without having sanitary operating permits. The lack of funds for infrastructure units of pre-universitary education, doesn’t resolve these issues regarding the current water, sanitary disposal facilities in the yards and the system of heating with wood. Compared with the situation of previous years, the situation remained identical. Compared to last year at the country level, the school has remained unchanged with minor exceptions. Thus, of 14.015 schools, only 8246 have received medical authorization. The rest of 1769, almost all in rural areas, will work in this school year in clandestine. Of these, 4860 haven’t current water, 3748 without sanitary system, and the heating is missing from 1000 school units. In kindergartens, the situation is equally dramatic: in 9288 units, only 5011 have sanitary permit. School facilities in rural areas are in a deplorable state in terms of conditions of hygiene and safety offered to students, the furniture is almost totally destroyed, mold in layers deposited on the walls, and the toilets- many of them situated in the yards- that does not respect the rules of hygiene. Dozens of schools likely to fall at the first natural disaster because they are in an advanced state of degradation. These schools are in great majority in ruralareas, are constructed of wood or of mud bricks more than 40 years old.The situation is even more alarming, as the lack of funds allocated make almost impossible thestrengthening of schools or building new ones instead. Also, students coming from disadvantaged families in danger of abandonment and without surveillance and guidance possibilities will have a new chance by the help of C.A.S.A.in collaboration with national and international institutions &company&privat people , for gathering consistent funding and remedy the own deplorable situation .
2 C.A.S.A. also aims such as reducing the opportunities to reach students on the streets, in group’s neighborhood that can negatively influence, in a period in which the danger of drugs and other "mirage" became maximum current. According to the proposals made, C.A.S.A. trying to achieve national survey to determine exactly the family of the studen t model and how it can be helped.
MAIN OBJECTIVE:Attracting funding from sponsorships and donations for the construction, rehabilitation,upgrading and equipping educational establishments to civilized standards.Preventing early leave school by children from disadvantaged families.Developing independent living skills and academic orientation.
PROJECT JUSTIFICATION:The urgent priority C.A.S.A. is raising funds for national and international companies to carry out this project. The value of sponsorship package for this purpose: to estimate the exact amounts needed to remedy the above is impossible to achieve especially in conditions in which even the ministry of education hasn’t approved the budget and not knowing what range of amount to allocate for repairs ( insufficient budget), but definitely the needs exceed the amount of 500.000.000 euro.Within 2009, C.A.S.A. proposed the modest goal of invests the sponsorship money collected, total amount of 10.000.000 euro focusing on activities including:
- Audit and investigate the conditions of education in rural areas
-rehabilitation hygienic sanitary conditions (construction or upgrading of toilets, drinking water supply, and sewerage).
- Thermal rehabilitation of the buildings.
- Acquisition of land, buildings, facilities, equipment, improving, organization of charitycampaigns.
The project is estimated for the period 2009-2011.
The "CHILD OF TOMORROW" represents an alternative for parents who are in the situation to decide child supervision by neighbors or grandparents or babysitter, lacking of time and having causes for stress such the school issues.Absenteeism is often even encouraged by parents who leave little brothers in the care of school age brothers or entrust them domestic tasks during the school time, to the detriment of performing homework’s. School period represents a very important period and therefore C.A.S.A. propose this project to ensure the best start to mobilization to helpand advice designed only for children from disadvantaged families, single-parent families,families with many children, children whose parents have a precarious financial situation,children from disorganized families, children whose parents go abroad to work.
3 The Association aims, in collaboration with educational facilities, recreational activities socializing (visits to museums, circus, zoo, botanical garden, theater, participation in festivals and exhibitions for children, school festival (festival of autumn, festival of Christmas, Easter festival, festival of March 8, the last festival of the year).
Other types of activities:Financial and material support (food, clothing, school supplies, medicines, toys) for children and they families.
EXPECTED RESULTS:
1. Reducing the number of students who abandon school.
2. Increased capacity for adaptation and socio-educational.
3. Learning responsibility involved in ensuring, through their own efforts, a decent living.
4. Children will get himself the skills of personal autonomy and independence.
5. Reducing negative attitudes and behaviors, by increasing training and guidance on youtheducation.
6. Young will get closer to the standard normalization function in society, which means that they have the necessary knowledge’s to qualify for a wide range of services in society.
7. At the end of the project will significantly decrease marginalization and exclusion of children from disadvantaged families.
8. Developing personal autonomy of disadvantaged children nationwide and increase enrollment.
